About Alex Tremble

Alex D. Tremble helps CEOs install simple leadership operating systems so their businesses run without them in every decision.

He is the Founder & CEO of GPS Leadership Solutions, a certified minority‑owned firm that partners primarily with CEOs and owners of privately held, multi‑location, operations‑heavy companies doing roughly eight figures in annual revenue (most in the $10M–$25M “bottleneck zone”).

Through 14-Day Executive Diagnostic, multi‑day executive retreats, and high‑stakes executive coaching, Alex helps leaders turn smart but misaligned teams into fast, high‑trust, high‑accountability units.

Meet Alex

Alex D. Tremble is the Founder and CEO of GPS Leadership Solutions, a certified minority-owned firm that builds leadership operating systems for executive teams. At 23, he was tapped to create and manage the executive leadership development program for the U.S. Department of the Interior, and went on to oversee three government-wide executive leadership programs early in his career.

He was later recruited by the Director of the U.S. National Park Service to serve as a Chief of Staff, where he coordinated with Congressional leaders, local officials, and national media outlets such as CNN and Fox News, and oversaw emergency communications and crisis management. Alex also served as Chief Culture & Communications Officer for a national nonprofit, helping the executive team define core values, re‑engage staff, and finally move stalled strategic priorities forward.

Over the last 15+ years, Alex has spoken at venues including the White House, coached hundreds of senior leaders across sectors, and led executive teams through high-stakes transformation. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, integrating behavioral science with real-world executive experience. Alex is the author of five leadership books – including Relationships That Work, Unlocking the Executive Advantage, and Leadership Sucks! (Sometimes) – and hosts The Executive Appeal Podcast, ranked in the top 10% globally

Who Alex Works With

Today, Alex works mainly with CEOs, owners, and senior executives who are responsible for complex, operations‑heavy businesses and P&Ls.

Most of his private‑sector clients are privately held, multi‑location, operations‑heavy companies in the eight‑figure range, especially those in the $10M–$25M “bottleneck zone” where growth has outpaced leadership systems. He also supports senior public‑sector and enterprise leaders facing similar execution, trust, and alignment challenges.

The Problems He Helps Solve

Clients usually come to Alex when the business looks successful from the outside but feels heavier than it should on the inside.

The CEO is still the default problem‑solver. Decisions move slowly or bounce around without clear ownership. Different locations or teams run on different rules. Smart leaders work hard, but trust is thin, conflict goes underground, and execution depends too much on a few “hero” executives.

In short: strategy isn’t the issue. Consistent, scalable execution is.

How He Builds Leadership Operating Systems

Alex’s work centers on two proprietary models that form a unified leadership operating system

TP3™ Performance Model

Trust → Proactivity → Productivity → Profitability

Raise trust so leaders tell the truth faster and surface real risks.

Increase proactivity so leaders take ownership instead of escalating everything to the top.

Improve productivity by aligning priorities, removing bottlenecks, and tightening execution cadences.

4C™ Connection Model

Mindset Change → Internal Clarity → External Clarity → Behavioral Choice

Shift leaders from reactive habits to intentional influence.

Increase proactivity so leaders take ownership instead of escalating everything to the top.

Improve productivity by aligning priorities, removing bottlenecks, and tightening execution cadences.

Books & Podcast

Alex has published five leadership books, including:

  • Leadership Sucks! (Sometimes) – a candid look at the pressures of leadership and how to lead without burning out.
  • Unlocking the Executive Advantage – a practical guide to building high-impact executive relationships that accelerate results.

He also hosts The Executive Appeal, a top-ranked leadership podcast where he interviews senior leaders on trust, alignment, and execution at the highest levels.

Why He Does This Work

Alex believes world‑class leadership support should be standard, not a luxury, for the people at the top who are often overlooked but never off the hook.

He’s seen how isolating it can be for a CEO or senior leader when everyone assumes they “have it all figured out,” while privately they’re carrying more weight than they admit. His work is designed to give those leaders clear, honest signal, a simple plan, and a team that can finally share the load.

If Your Executive Team Is Stuck, Start Here

Most leadership teams aren’t broken; they’re misaligned and overloaded. A simple operating system for how they lead, decide, and follow through fixes that.

If you’re a CEO of a privately held, multi‑location, operations‑heavy company in the $10M–$25M bottleneck zone and everything still seems to roll back up to you, the fastest starting point is a 14-Day Executive Diagnostic or a focused executive retreat.
