Meet Alex
Alex D. Tremble is the Founder and CEO of GPS Leadership Solutions, a certified minority-owned firm that builds leadership operating systems for executive teams. At 23, he was tapped to create and manage the executive leadership development program for the U.S. Department of the Interior, and went on to oversee three government-wide executive leadership programs early in his career.
He was later recruited by the Director of the U.S. National Park Service to serve as a Chief of Staff, where he coordinated with Congressional leaders, local officials, and national media outlets such as CNN and Fox News, and oversaw emergency communications and crisis management. Alex also served as Chief Culture & Communications Officer for a national nonprofit, helping the executive team define core values, re‑engage staff, and finally move stalled strategic priorities forward.
Over the last 15+ years, Alex has spoken at venues including the White House, coached hundreds of senior leaders across sectors, and led executive teams through high-stakes transformation. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, integrating behavioral science with real-world executive experience. Alex is the author of five leadership books – including Relationships That Work, Unlocking the Executive Advantage, and Leadership Sucks! (Sometimes) – and hosts The Executive Appeal Podcast, ranked in the top 10% globally

- C‑suite leaders (CEOs, COOs, CHROs, CMO, etc.)
- Senior executives and division presidents
- Executive leadership teams in $50M–$750M organizations
- Senior operators responsible for 50–5,000 people
Problems he solves
- “I’m doing all the thinking; my team isn’t proactive.”
- Decisions bottleneck at the top and move too slowly.
- Trust is low; tension is high, but no one says it out loud.
- Smart leaders working in silos, duplicating work and rework.
- Strategy keeps getting derailed by “people issues.”
How Alex builds leadership operating systems
Alex’s work centers on two proprietary models that form a unified leadership operating system
TP3™ Performance Model
Trust → Proactivity → Productivity → Profitability
Raise trust so leaders tell the truth faster and surface real risks.
Increase proactivity so leaders take ownership instead of escalating everything to the top.
Improve productivity by aligning priorities, removing bottlenecks, and tightening execution cadences.
4C™ Connection Model
Mindset Change → Internal Clarity → External Clarity → Behavioral Choice
Shift leaders from reactive habits to intentional influence.
Increase proactivity so leaders take ownership instead of escalating everything to the top.
Improve productivity by aligning priorities, removing bottlenecks, and tightening execution cadences.
Books & Podcast
Alex has published five leadership books, including:
- Leadership Sucks! (Sometimes) – a candid look at the pressures of leadership and how to lead without burning out.
- Unlocking the Executive Advantage – a practical guide to building high-impact executive relationships that accelerate results.
He also hosts The Executive Appeal, a top-ranked leadership podcast where he interviews senior leaders on trust, alignment, and execution at the highest levels.
Why he does this work
Alex believes world-class leadership support should be standard, not a luxury, for the people at the top who are often overlooked but never off the hook. His work is anchored in candor, psychological safety, and measurable outcomes – helping leaders reclaim their time, rebuild trust in their teams, and lead with clarity under pressure.
If your executive team is stuck, start here.
